Can we
inhabit the world

We are the result of the symbiotic, collaborative relationships between countless beings and their living environment.

This is what we are: humans.

PLANTAGRATIDAD.ONG

With a fervent desire to help more and more humans reclaim this profound vision of themselves, which we consider essential to the unfolding of new ways of coexistence that place Life—all of it—at the center. Fostering networks of care, reflection, learning, and resilience, in service to the Earth.

e've chosen to organize as a foundation, seeing it as the structure best suited to nurture and amplify our aspirations. Our name speaks to what we believe in and strive to protect:

Planta:

lants are our guides and inspiration—beings who have learned to coexist and collaborate constantly with others. Through their bodies, flowers, and fruits, they bring together the cosmic energy of the Sun and the nourishing moisture of the Earth.

Their presence has transformed the atmosphere, making life as we know it possible. Plants give their gifts without measure, and this generosity is a quality we aim to emulate. They are masters of a spirituality that moves us: deeply rooted in the Earth, yet in constant connection with the unknowable.

p

Gratidad:

s a word that captures many things: it arose from the need to name, in Spanish, the fusion of gratitude and the gift, what is given freely. Gratitude is, in turn, one of our founding values—a way of being in the world, an antidote to these times. “Gratidad” also expresses our hope that everything offered by the Foundation might be received as you would take a ripe fruit: with appreciation, enjoyment, and the spreading of seeds wherever the wind may carry them.

i

Wild Nature:

ignifies, on an intimate level, the somatic memory that courses through our tissues as bodies and consciousness of the Earth, inherent in us through the simple act of breathing. It’s a quality we can nurture, but we can neither sever nor would we wish to. This intimate dimension mirrors a Wild Nature that is not pristine or idealized but spontaneous, invincible, rebellious—familiar and everyday, like a dandelion sprouting between tiles in the heart of a city.

s

Planta∞Gratidad:

s a vessel for collective dreams—a space to compost history, struggles, emotions, ideas, ancestral legacies, and the wisdom of teachers. It grows from the need to return home, rebuild loving relationships with our environment, and reclaim a reverence for the mystery.

      ollaboration:

We believe in the expansive potential of the network.

For Planta Gratidad, this means standing in solidarity with other movements for animal, human, and Earth liberation, and forming alliances in a non-competitive manner: supporting each other, helping, learning, teaching, asking for help. Therefore, we seek to create ecosystemic strategies with other organizations, driven by the conviction that we are working for a greater good.

c

       trategic thinking and creativity:

We design solutions tailored to specific problems. We listen, observe, analyze. We consider the context, needs, and obstacles, and then unleash creativity focused on efficiency to develop bold and creative solutions with courage and enthusiasm. This ensures our message doesn't go unnoticed and mobilizes our community.

s

Values

ntegrity, humility, and leading by example:

We believe in a type of activism and a way of doing things based on the premise that we are all learning. This is reflected in how we communicate with each other, with kindness, and how we engage the public; it invites us to learn from our mistakes and strive to be our best selves.

i

     ove-based approach:

We believe that a respectful, non-violent, and non-judgmental approach enables us to generate profound transformation in society. This approach invites people to empathize, commit, and feel part of the movement. For Planta Gratidad, this implies a way of working together, thinking about communication campaigns, and engaging the public in community expansion and territorial articulation activities.

l

       elf-care:

We know that in the work we do as activists and agents of change, intense emotions and states arise, such as pain, frustration, apathy, sadness, and exhaustion, and in many cases, we lack the tools to cope with them. We believe that another way of doing activism is possible, one that includes and considers the well-being and health of the people who dedicate themselves to the care of the Earth and all its beings. At Planta Gratidad, we promote self-care by providing spaces for group support and reflection, retreats, and regenerative days, and by integrating into our work tools such as Mindfulness and the Work That Reconnects.
